Can I choose the fonts in this new tool and can I upload my own fonts?

OK, so I purchased the software and now when I change the font it does not change. I have uploaded a font and it doesn't change from montserrat. I even tried to change it to the built in fonts like Times and it doesn't change to those. What gives?
