The Demand and Opportunity scores - can you explain how you arrive at this?

I am checking the Demand and Opportunity scores. I see how Search Vol relates to demand, but I'm uncertain where you're getting the Opportunity score. Do you have a mathematical formula to arrive at this?

If I try to divide Search Vol by Search Results, I don't get the expected correlation for the Opportunity measurement. Here's an example:

fiction books best sellers 2024 mystery Search Vol: 825 Search Results: 3,719 Opportunity: 8 This doesn't make sense for the opportunity number. Based on most entries, this should be a low opportunity level. And this isn't the only case.

And fiction books for kids 9-12 100 pages Search Vol: 3,675 Search Results: 1,202 Opportunity: 8 - This opportunity scale seems right to me.

fiction books for women in their 60s Search vol: 2,828 Search Results: 66 Opportunity: 4 What? This has the highest opportunity in the list.

Are you aware of these descrepancies?

Our opportunity score takes into account many data points. Opportunity of 4 is not bad. Its just 1 below the recommended number. Also realize that this is an algorithm to help you, not to do 100% of the work for you. I always recommend in all my videos that you confirm a niche yourself too. Our scores just make it easier and faster to find possible winners.
